FIRST EXHIBITOR AWARDS AT A PLACE IN THE SUN LIVE EXHIBITION

• Inaugural awards for exhibitors at A Place in the Sun Live exhibition
• South Invest wins Best Stand under 20sq metres
• Regnum wins Best Stand 20-50sq metres
• Dubai Properties wins Best Stand over 50sq metres
• Euro Florida Brokers wins Most Innovative Stand

The very first Exhibitor Awards were presented at the A Place in the Sun Live exhibition held at ExCeL, London, from 30th September-2nd October 2005. Across four categories judges drawn from the A Place in the Sun magazine and exhibition teams were looking for the best use of space, innovation in design, a customer-friendly appearance and that little something to make the exhibitor stand out from the crowd. 

Darren Styles, Chief Executive of Brooklands Group, said:

“We were really pleased to present awards to our exhibitors. We especially wanted to reward those who had gone the extra mile and thought about the presentation of their product and the way they used their space: it contributes to a great looking show. That said, picking the winners was more of a task than we’d imagined and led to all kinds of petty squabbling among the judges! It took coffee and then alcohol to reach a consensus – but we got there in the end. Congratulations to South Invest, Regnum, Dubai Properties and Euro Florida Brokers, they’ve set quite a standard and we hope that the awards go on to become an A Place in the Sun Live institution.”

Competition will certainly be fierce: with nearly 300 exhibitors representing 35 countries at A Place in the Sun Live exhibitions choice will continue to be the enemy of decision...
